Laphroaigs Ian Hunter Story series draws its inspiration from an icon of Islay scotch whisky. In this, the second in the series, we find a profile thats right in sweet, smoky stone fruit, thanks to thirty years maturation in Spanish Oloroso casks.
The second chapter in Laphroaigs Ian Hunter Story Book matured for three decades in Spanish oak oloroso sherry casks. Typically peaty, the nose also offers notes of dates, figs, rich cigar smoke, licorice, and dark chocolate. The palate offers notes of orange peel, manuka honey, and smoked stone fruits, with waves of peat smoke in the background.
